The Diaconate is a group of church leaders who helps with the worship experience for our congregation.  That includes  everything from greeting you at the door, helping you find a seat in the sanctuary, providing beautiful spiritual music, to providing a welcoming fellowship before and after the service.  Extending your spiritual journey even more, this group also provides for the continuing education of our members.

WORSHIP

Throughout the year, UCC at The Villages worships each Sunday morning at 10am.  But on various occasions, special services are held to celebrate particular events.  (see our church calendar)

MUSIC

Led by our Music Director, our choir and musicians present inspirational music for our Sunday and special services.  If you can play an instrument or love to sing, this is the ministry for you!

PRAYER SHAWLS

Our group of knitters/crocheters meet the third Thursday of each month at 10am at the church during the fall and spring to socialize as they create beautiful shawls and throws for those in need of comfort.  Some create shawls from their homes. Shawls are provided free to anyone who needs comfort or who knows of someone in need.  Shawls may be selected in our prayer shawl cabinet in the Narthex.  You do not have to be a member of the church to receive a shawl/throw.

FELLOWSHIP

We are always looking for smiling faces to be usher and greeters for our services. 
Like to cook?  There are plenty of opportunities to show off your culinary skills - whether by providing treats for our morning coffee hour or baking for one of our fundraisers or special events!
