Bold and Bad Women of The Bible - A Bible Study
Mondays, February 16—March 23, Noon
Bring Your own bag lunch—Rev. Phil will provide dessert & drinks!
Come enjoy good food, good company, and good conversation around Scripture!
Sign up in the Narthex or contact the church office to attend.
We all know that black is black and white is white, right is right and wrong is wrong, good is good and bad is bad; right? Or, do those lines get a bit blurry from time to time? Why do we do the things we do? How about the bold and bad women of Biblical history? So, please join Rev Phil as we dig deeper into the lives of some of the ladies of our faith, for a Brown Bag lunch (which means you bring your own sandwich, but Rev. Phil will provide desserts and drinks), at noon, right here at U.C.C. of the Villages, beginning Feb. 16th. Together, we will discover if, or if not, the leading ladies of our faith were good, bad, or simply misunderstood!

MISSION VIDEOS 2026
The UCC at The Villages Documentary Series for 2026 features thought-provoking films that tackle urgent social topics: consumer manipulation and global waste in “Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy,” the historical roots and modern realities of racial injustice in “13th,” the heartbreak of family separation at the US border in “Separated,” and the intimate journey of a couple who kept their love secret for seven decades in “A Secret Love.” Together, these documentaries illuminate the complexities of consumer culture, systemic inequality, immigration policies, and the enduring power of love.
All Mission videos are FREE and Open to the Public! There will be a discussion following each video.
Wednesday, February 25, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
"Separated"
This Documentary examines the systemic separation of children from parents at the border. Over 1000 children still remain separated from their parents. This shocking film traces the history of the separation of refugee and migrant families at the US border and Trump’s Administration’s unjust programs with little regard for human rights, morality, or constitutional law. Will it happen again?
